Collecting data for learn more about states' work in Mental Health, well-being and community resilience

A critical issue in many communities across the United States is the health and well-being of their residents. Extension is well-positioned, particularly in rural communities, to provide local, community-engaged programs that can promote health and well-being and strengthen community resilience. Many of you are already working on projects that address the mental health and well-being of diverse populations in your communities.  We would like to understand the breadth of your work, your challenges, and the resources you use.  We are collecting this data through an online survey. This information will be shared out through the Mental Health and Well-Being community of practice and Extension Connection.

A second aim for our survey is to report on the self-efficacy, confidence and mental health literacy of Extension educators across the nation.  We would appreciate your help in gathering this data.

Your input is important! There are only 2 open-ended questions, and it should take ~15 minutes to complete.

The survey can be accessed:

This is a biennial survey (every 2 years). If you completed this survey this fall/winter 2024, you don't need to fill it out again.

We also have a mental health & well-being email listserv to further this work in across extension.  Please let me know if you would like to be added to the list.  Email me at  jenniferpark@wisc.edu
