Ask Extension Experts

This is a group of Extension professionals and master volunteers who serve as "experts" in eXtension's "Ask Extension" system. This group will be used as a means of posting news about Ask Extension, as well as a way for the experts to share information with each other. It is a forum meant to supplement the information available at https://askhelp.extension.org.

The following updates were deployed on 8 Sept. 21

*Added a plugin that allows admins to add a banner with a message to the homepage
*Overdue question reminders are now resent every day
*The collaborator feature now allows experts (instead of questionaskers) to be added
*Collaborators are now notified on internal notes
*A watch button has been added to questions to allow experts to quickly add themselves as a collaborator
*The icon for 'edit tags' on questions has been changed to be unique
*There's now a text distinction between internal notes and replies on question threads
*When two experts attempt to edit a question at the same time there's now some protections to prevent errors
*Question edits are now logged on the question thread
*When a question is deleted, that event is now logged in the question thread
*Removed the 'Expert panel' link on the expert dashboard
*References to 'tasks' have been entirely removed
*An error that made it so questionaskers could not create an account has been fixed
*Some additional validation has been added to questionasker password creation
*Questionaskers can now submit a pdf on the widget
*The 'popular categories' box on the home page has been temporarily removed to try to ease the strain on the database
