Daily Habit!

Several years ago I started a habit of gifting myself a few minutes every day to read, watch or listen to something about leadership.  It was rough at first as I fought off thoughts of how the time could be used for other things.  It's been worth it though, I've learned so much.  Here are just a few sources for a daily leadership content feed...

  • The Marshall Goldsmith Coaching app gives you the ability to hear 3 weekly thoughts directly from the #1 Executive Coach in the world.  Simple & direct common sense...worth it!
  • Mind Tools is a great company from the U.K. & they have 120+ free articles/videos on many topics that help with overall leadership effectiveness.
  • The Tip Harvard Business Review app gives you tidbits from some of their latest articles.  It's just enough to either guide your thinking or set you off on a journey to discover more.
  • The TED Talks app is a great way to hear from subject matter experts on so many topics of importance.  Create your own favorites list!
  • Subscribe to the Seth Godin blog for his daily thoughts on many different subjects.  Short, to the point & profound!
  • Those books on your shelf aren't doing you any good sitting there.  Whatever topic is on your mind, find it in the index of one of your books & dig in.  You'll be surprised how much you didn't remember about something you've already read!

"We are what we repeatedly do.  Excellence, then, is not an act, but a habit."

-Aristotle

What habits do you have to support your personal & professional growth?  The start is what stops most people so jump in, you'll be glad you did!
