Join the National Extension Tourism Network and the North Central Regional Center for Rural Development for an interactive listening session to explore how Extension can support collaboration and grow partnerships around outdoor tourism.
Extension participants will:
- Learn more about outdoor tourism in the North Central Region.
- Share Extension’s work across the region’s institutions.
- Discuss Extension opportunities and challenges in the outdoor tourism space.
Facilitators:
- Xinyi Qian, Director of the University of Minnesota Tourism Center, housed in Extension’s Department of Community Development. Xinyi is the Current Chair of the National Extension Tourism Network.
- Gwynn Stewart, Assistant Professor of Community Development, The Ohio State University Extension. She serves as the North Central regional representative on the NET Design Team.
- Andy Northrop, Extension Educator, Michigan State University Extension. Andy leads the Michigan State University Extension’s tourism programs with a statewide appointment and currently chairs the Connecting Entrepreneurial Communities (CEC) team. Andy is a NET Executive Committee member since it was established in 2020, and has been part of the NET Design team since 2014.
- Zuzana Bednarik, Research and Extension Specialist, North Central Regional Center for Rural Development (NCRCRD). Zuzana is the NCRCRD Liaison to NEORWG Steering Committee.
