The University of Nevada, Reno is looking for an innovative Extension Specialist as an Assistant or Associate Professor in the field of Horticulture in Clark County, Las Vegas, Nevada. This is a 12-month, tenure-track faculty position.
The Extension Specialist, Horticulture, will guide collaborative work with communities to respond to opportunities and challenges facing Clark County and Nevada. The individual in this position will educate, connect, and create information and content through applied research, community-based teaching, engaged scholarship, and creative activity that leads to responsive, accessible, transformative, and meaningful learning experiences for all residents of Clark County and across Nevada. This position will expand the reach and efforts fostering collaborative relationships that engage volunteers, stakeholders, and partners while increasing resources allocated for this program, developing innovative programming and curriculum that addresses shifts in educational program delivery, and identifying teaching and learning strategies that meet learner needs across Clark County and the state of Nevada.
