Reviving the Technology in Extension Education (TEE) Subgroup!

Exciting News

We're reviving the Technology in Extension Education (TEE) subgroup!

Subgroup History

The Technology in Extension Education (TEE) Connect subgroup launched early in the pandemic. Content was curated by Rose Hayden-Smith, University of California Extension emerita, as part of her NTAE technology fellowship with the Extension Foundation. (Rose will again be taking the lead and curating content for the group.)

This subgroup was very active during the pandemic. We used this space to share information about how we were using technology in our increasingly virtual work. We shared platform information, tips and techniques, resources, best practices, and opportunities for professional development.

Reviving the Space/Purpose

We're reviving this subgroup to again discuss and explore technology in Extension work. You can expect to see 1-2 posts each week.

The TEE subgroup is open to all Cooperative Extension and affiliated professionals. Content focuses on the use of technology in our work and will include:

  • Technology overviews (e.g. artificial intelligence, social media platforms, etc.)
  • Social media and tech trends, tips and strategies (how-to)
  • Links to reports and publications about technology use in Extension
  • Tips and ideas from the team at Extension Foundation (written and  video tutorials)
  • Best practices shared by CE professionals
  • Announcements about workshops related to technology
  • Video tutorials (EXF video library)
  • Resources
  • Surveys

How You Can Participate

  • Join the subgroup
  • Respond to the survey, slated to be issued early next week to let us know what you're interested in.
  • Share your ideas about technology.
  • Write a post to share what's working for you, and any resources or information that's helping you in your work. (DM Rose if you have questions about how to use any of the subgroup features, including the blogging tool.)
