Workshop One Description:
DOE’s Office of Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy hosted a workshop for State Energy Officials to help them learn from each other on the topic of siting for renewable energy, especially wind and solar. Participants heard from experts in Minnesota, Pennsylvania, and New York about their siting programs, and learned about opportunities to expand support to their local jurisdictions.
Workshop Two Description:
DOE’s Office of Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy (EERE) hosted a workshop for state energy officials, Ag Extension programs, and local officials focused on highlight challenges and opportunities associated with engaging host communities and explore the role that SEOs and other organizations can play in improving community engagement and siting outcomes.
