Registration for Oral Public Comments Opens

Mark Your Calendar for 10:00 AM ET on August 10, 2023 to Register to Provide Virtual Oral Public Comments to the Dietary Guidelines Advisory Committee

The 2025 Dietary Guidelines Advisory Committee will hold its third Committee meeting on September 12 and 13, 2023. Registration to attend the livestream meeting and to provide virtual oral comments to the Committee will open on Thursday, August 10, 2023, at 10:00 a.m. ET through DietaryGuidelines.gov

There will be a limited number of spots available to provide oral public comments, which will be confirmed on a first-come, first-served basis. The Committee is interested in hearing from a diverse group of individuals and organizations to provide scientific input on the evidence reviews. For the first time ever commenters will have the option to provide pre-recorded oral comments to be played during the meeting or to deliver their remarks live via the virtual webcast on September 12. More information will be provided in the confirmation email. Visit our Meeting 3 page on DietaryGuidelines.gov to find out more about the oral comment registration process.

The Committee will meet approximately six times and is expected to conclude its work in late 2024. All Committee meetings can be viewed online (live and recorded) and the public is encouraged to submit written comments throughout the Committee’s work. Past meeting materials and videocasts can be found on the Committee Meetings page. The Committee’s work will culminate in a scientific report submitted to the Secretaries of HHS and USDA.
