Register Now for the June 27th Annual Meeting of the President’s Council on Sports, Fitness & Nutrition


The first public meeting of the Biden-Harris Administration’s President’s Council on Sports, Fitness & Nutrition will be held on June 27, 2023, from 1:30 pm to 5:00 pm ET, at the Hubert H. Humphrey building in Washington, DC. The meeting will also be viewable via livestream on 

The focus of this inaugural meeting will be for the new Council members, who were nominated to serve on the Council by President Biden in MarchThis link is external to, to discuss priorities for the remainder of the Council’s term. The Council’s Co-chairs, José Andrés and Elena Delle Donne, were appointed by President Biden and sworn in last year. 

The President’s Council on Sports, Fitness & Nutrition is a federal advisory committee that aims to engage, educate, and empower all Americans to adopt a healthy lifestyle that includes regular physical activity and good nutrition. President Biden renewed the Council by Executive Order 14048This link is external to, which also expanded the Council’s mission to include a focus on mental health as it relates to fitness and nutrition.

About the Extension Foundation

The Extension Foundation was formed in 2006 by Extension Directors and Administrators. Today, the Foundation partners with Cooperative Extension through liaison roles and a formal plan of work with the Extension Committee on Organization and Policy (ECOP) to increase system capacity while providing programmatic services, and helping Extension programs scale and investigate new methods and models for implementing programs. The Foundation provides professional development to Cooperative Extension professionals and offers exclusive services to its members.
