OneOp, a leader in supporting military family service professionals, is pleased to announce the appointment of Robert "Bob" Bertsch as its new National Project Leader. With over 30 years of experience in communication, education, organizational development, and digital technology, Bertsch brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to this pivotal role.
Bertsch, an Extension Specialist with NDSU Extension at North Dakota State University, has been an integral part of OneOp for 13 years. His contributions include serving as Principal Investigator for the Building Communities (formerly Network Literacy) collaboration team and as Engagement Coordinator for the Network Literacy team.
In his tenure with OneOp, Bertsch has demonstrated visionary leadership, particularly in re-aligning the Building Communities team's efforts to strengthen the Military Family Readiness System (MFRS). His initiatives have focused on building collaboration skills, preparing service providers to address the diverse needs of military families, and facilitating community engagement.
“OneOp is well-known as a collaborative and innovative project,” said Bertsch. “I’m excited for the opportunity to work with the incredibly talented group of experts, from the Defense Department and from universities around the nation, to continue the important work of supporting the professionals who support our military families.”
Bertsch holds a M.S. in Extension Education and has been recognized for his ability to blend traditional extension methodologies with cutting-edge digital technologies.
As National Project Leader, Bertsch will oversee OneOp's strategic initiatives, further enhancing the organization's ability to support military family service professionals and strengthen the MFRS.
