Summary:
The Extension Foundation, in collaboration with the ECOP Workforce Development Program Action Team, is excited to announce an opportunity to become a key player in shaping the future of agricultural workforce development. We are seeking a passionate, collaborative individual to join our team as the 1890 Regional Content Coordinator for the AgriProspects Workforce Development Network.

About AgriProspects:
Funded by the USDA National Institute of Food and Agriculture AFRI Education and Workforce Development Competitive Grant (2023-67037-40533), AgriProspects is dedicated to expanding the national portfolio of Extension adult agricultural workforce development programs. As the 1890 Regional Content Coordinator, you will be instrumental in identifying, cataloging, and connecting these programs to individuals seeking opportunities, helping to build a national network of practice.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the 1890 Network Coordinator and Coordinators from other regions to lead AgriProspects efforts in the 1890 region.
  • Identify and document impactful adult agricultural workforce development programs for inclusion in the AgriProspects Clearinghouse.
  • Assess regional and national workforce needs to inform the development of timely Extension curricula and professional development programming.
  • Address issues of access and equitability for learners, earners, and employers, and work with the AgriProspects team to develop solutions.
  • Participate in internal committees and working groups as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Strong knowledge of workforce development and Extension program development and delivery.
  • Proven skills in network building and stakeholder engagement.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while being an effective team player.
  • Enthusiasm for contributing to the foundation of future nationwide programmatic efforts.
