Join the 2025 Farm Robotics Challenge! Apply by December 12th!

The Farm Robotics Challenge, organized by UC Agriculture and Natural Resources and the AI Institute for Next Generation Food Systems, with support from technology partners farm-ng and IGIS, is an annual competition for college level student teams. The objective is for teams is to identify and solve real-world agricultural challenges using cutting-edge robotics technology.

They are launching year 3 of the Farm Robotics Challenge – an annual competition for 2-year and 4-year college and university student teams. Through the challenge, teams identify and solve real-world agricultural problems using cutting-edge robotics or drone technology.

Why join the challenge? It's all about engaging students in real-world applications and driving technological innovation in agriculture.

Over a period of 4 to 5 months, student teams employ and develop the latest AI, automation, and robotics tools to solve on-farm problems. Check out this video featuring past FRC participants.
