HHS Nutrition Policy Fellowship at ODPHP

A Health Policy fellowship is available in the Office of Disease Prevention and Health Promotion (ODPHP) at the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) in Rockville, MD. The participant will gain professional experience in a health policy setting.  The primary role for the health policy fellow will be assisting in the coordination and development of the 2025-2030 Dietary Guidelines for Americans.

The fellow may also be involved in the following activities:

  • Supporting the development, implementation, and review of the 2025-2030 Dietary Guidelines for Americans and related materials through research, writing, and editing.
  • Communication and dissemination of the 2020-2025 Dietary Guidelines for Americans.
  • Participating in and evaluating team projects in the area of disease prevention and health promotion.
  • Replying to Departmental correspondence and clearances.
  • Contributing to Departmental prevention efforts.


Qualifications

  • Applicants must have completed a master's or doctorate degree in nutrition within five years.
  • Registered Dietitian preferred.
  • Must demonstrate ability to present information, both orally and written, for various audiences in clear and concise formats and be able to work independently as well as with a team.
