Health and Well Being Subgroup Open to New Members

A new subgroup for Extension faculty and staff working in the area of health and well being has opened its doors to new members.  The new subgroup’s Connect Extension platform is designed to serve as a virtual gathering place for members to interact around “all things health.”  The group is a diverse community of scholars and practitioners dedicated to ensuring that all people have the opportunity to experience optimal health and well-being across the life span through a focus on both health education and addressing the contextual determinants of health and well being.

Members of the Health and Well Being subgroup will have access to the latest news related to Extension’s work focused on health and well being as well as provocative posts by guest bloggers.   Moreover, all members of the group will have the ability to not only respond to the posts of others but share their own unique content with the community.  Any member can initiate conversations on topics of their choosing, make a announcements of upcoming webinars and conferences, make their own blog posts, and conduct polls of members.  The goal is help Extension professionals make connections across institutions, disciplines, and program areas that advance their individual and collective work.

Connect Extension members can simply select “Join This Subgroup” under the description of existing subgroups accessed from the orange menu bar on the Connect Extension home page.
