Effective Emergency Management and Resource Deployment Webinar, hosted by EDEN

Effective Emergency Management and Resource Deployment

The Professional Development Committee of the Extension Disaster Education Network (EDEN) invites you to April's webinar, Understanding EMAC: Your Guide to Effective Emergency Management and Resource Deployment.
REGISTER HERE.
More about this webinar:
This webinar will tell you everything you need to know about the Emergency Management Assistance Compact (EMAC). The National Incident Management System Incident Command System facilitates local resource requests to state levels of emergency management to get the right resources back to the affected communities. When state resources are exhausted, EMAC facilitates the process of state-to-state mutual agreements. The presenter will share why EMAC exists, provide information on the importance of using mission-ready packages (MRPs), and share tips for ensuring the best outcomes for EMAC-related requests and deployments.
Anyone interested in learning more about how resources are organized and delivered to the affected communities during a disaster should attend. We also welcome you to share this information with your colleagues beyond Extension.
Brandi Hughes with the Mississippi Emergency Management Agency (MEMA) will present this not-to-miss learning opportunity. See you there!
