Discover Creative Funding Approaches: Join the Final Extension Skills Series

You still have a few opportunities to join this year’s Professional Development series, Extension Skills. The Extension Foundation is excited to invite you to the final topic series of the year, focused on finding and securing funding. Extension Skills provides an opportunity for Cooperative Extension professionals to build capacity with tools, processes and tech skills training. This series is available to Extension Foundation Members only. Find out if your institution is an Extension Foundation member at extension.org/members.

Extension Skills topics have been informed by the Extension Foundation Needs Assessment completed in the summer of 2023. The three themes this year are Telling Our Story, Community Engagement and Finding/Securing Funding. Find past Extension Skill workshops on our Video Resource Library, also linked on the registration page.

From September- December, experts from Cooperative Extension will share their approaches to finding and securing different funding for Extension projects and programs, with a focus on strategic planning and diversification.

This is a great opportunity to learn from fellow Extension professionals about how to tap into diverse funding sources to support your work. You’re also encouraged to share your own successful strategies and insights on funding! Register for Extension Skills here.

Mark your calendars and register for the following webinars:

  • September 12th: Identifying and Choosing Uncommon Funding Sources for Extension
  • October 10th: Planning for Giving Tuesday!
  • November 14th: Ideas for Finding Atypical Funding Arrangements
  • December 12th: Strategies for Creating Compelling Proposals
