Are You Using the Arts in Extension Programs?

About a year ago, Dave Myers (University of Maryland Extension) and I offered an Extension Foundation session on using poetry, yes poetry, in extension programming.  (See the link to the recorded session below.)
Why this crazy idea?

Well, we believe that poetry or any of the creative arts can help you reach learners who may be over- or under-whelmed by traditional learning discussions full of facts, history, statistics and policies.
In fact, we've found that using poetry is a great way to breakthrough and engage, to capture and hold the attention of young and mature learners in formal and informal settings.

So, we're wondering -- Are you using poetry or any other of the Arts to help deliver extension content?  If so, we'd like to hear from you.  Please email us at MYERSRD@UMD.EDU or HLAREW@GMAIL.COM
