Three Urban Area Leaders

Are YOU a highly effective leader? Do you know a great leader? The Ohio State University Extension is looking for three area leaders. We are seeking individuals who are ready to make decisions and want a chance to work with some of the best staff, teams, and top coworkers.

An area leader provides overall strategic leadership and perform all administrative functions within the county units by serving as administrative head. Area leader positions are available in Lucas/Wood Counties (Toledo), Franklin County (Columbus), and Hamilton/Butler (Cincinnati) Counties.

RAISE Hires

Ohio State University’s Race, Inclusion, and Social Equity (RAISE) initiative, the College of Food, Agricultural, and Environmental Sciences (CFAES) will be hiring a cohort of three scholars focused on urban health and environmental problems that are experienced differently based on race and class.

In addition, CFAES received approval to for a senior faculty position for OSU Urban Extension: Equitable Engagement for Equitable Opportunity.

About the Extension Foundation

The Extension Foundation was formed in 2006 by Extension Directors and Administrators. Today, the Foundation partners with Cooperative Extension through liaison roles and a formal plan of work with the Extension Committee on Organization and Policy (ECOP) to increase system capacity while providing programmatic services, and helping Extension programs scale and investigate new methods and models for implementing programs. The Foundation provides professional development to Cooperative Extension professionals and offers exclusive services to its members. In 2020 and 2021, the Extension Foundation has awarded 85% of its direct funding back to the Cooperative Extension System, 100% of funds are used to support Cooperative Extension initiatives.
