Your COVID-19 questions, answered: CSU Expert Q&A set for March 18

The Columbine Health Systems Center for Healthy Aging, in partnership with CSU Extension and Senior Access Points of Larimer County, will hold its eighth webinar in the COVID-19 Expert Panel Series on Thursday, March 18 at 12 p.m. MT via Zoom. Members of the Colorado State University community and the public are invited to attend.

As the coronavirus pandemic evolves, the abundance of news reporting and public health recommendations can be overwhelming. The COVID-19 Expert Panel Series was created to provide clarity to the emerging pandemic by giving CSU faculty experts a platform to answer community questions about public health safety, vaccines, virus transmissibility, mental health strategies, travel, caregiving, and more.

Panelists include CSU faculty members in gerontology, infectious disease, biosafety, mental health, food safety, and geriatric medicine.

Speakers for March 18 panel:

  • Mark Zabel, professor and associate director of the Prion Research Center in the Dept. of Microbiology, Immunology and Pathology, and Research Associate Dean in the College of Veterinary Medicine and Biomedical Sciences
  • Marisa Bunning, professor and extension specialist in food safety in the Dept. of Food Science and Human Nutrition
  • Deana Davalos, professor and licensed psychologist in the Dept. of Psychology, director of the Aging Clinic of the Rockies and associate director of the Columbine Health Systems Center for Healthy Aging
