Cooperative Extension’s Collective for Health Equity and Well-Being is a community of Extension personnel and their partners united by their shared commitment to advancing health equity and well-being. Members work together to support the implementation of Cooperative Extension’s National Framework for Health Equity and Well-Being (2021) to ensure that all people can be as healthy as they can be.

National Center for Home Food Preservation Website

The National Center for Home Food Preservation is thrilled to announce the launch of our new website on March 1st, 2024. You can continue accessing it at https://nchfp.uga.edu. The website features a user-friendly menu at the top offering options such as ‘Preserve By’, ‘Resources’, ‘Newsflash’, ‘FAQs’, ‘Blog’, ‘Donate’, and ‘Contact’.

Our new website introduces exciting new features including a Newsflash section, a dedicated Donation page, and an exclusive secured page for Educator resources. We consolidated our blog into the website, creating a convenient hub for all home food preservation resources.

Stay updated with the latest news and important updates on home food preservation by subscribing to our Newsflash feed. Simply add your email at https://nchfp.uga.edu/newsflash.

Responding to popular demand, we have added a Donations page to facilitate contributions to the NCHFP. Donations will support two crucial areas: student scholarships and research projects. You can learn more about it at https://nchfp.uga.edu/donate.

Educators engaged in home food preservation outreach, Extension, and teaching efforts will find tailored resources on our dedicated Educators page. Sign up to access materials at https://nchfp.uga.edu/educators.

We appreciate your patience as we undergo the website restructuring. Over the next few weeks, Google will be re-indexing our pages to ensure correct locations and formatting. That may cause you to see a 404 Not found message or pages that look unformatted. Thank you for your understanding during this transition.

About the Extension Foundation

The Extension Foundation was formed in 2006 by Extension Directors and Administrators. Today, the Foundation partners with Cooperative Extension through liaison roles and a formal plan of work with the Extension Committee on Organization and Policy (ECOP) to increase system capacity while providing programmatic services, and helping Extension programs scale and investigate new methods and models for implementing programs. The Foundation provides professional development to Cooperative Extension professionals and offers exclusive services to its members. In 2020 and 2021, the Extension Foundation has awarded 85% of its direct funding back to the Cooperative Extension System, 100% of funds are used to support Cooperative Extension initiatives.

This technology is supported in part by New Technologies for Ag Extension (funding opportunity no.
