Are you, or would you like to be, working with communities on crime prevention strategies?  This is your opportunity to learn strategies to do this.

Michigan State University Extension has been working with faculty in the MSU School of Planning, Design and Construction (SPDC) and the MSU National Charrette Institute (NCI) to develop training for Extension professionals and communities on how to do crime prevention through placemaking and environmental design.  The program is called Placemaking + Crime Prevention Through Environmental Design or P+CPTED.  After over five years of working with Michigan communities to successfully implement P+CPTED strategies, MSU Extension, SPDC and NCI are hosting a free Zoom webinar to nationally introduce the P+CPTED program to Extension professionals and their community partners on Friday, February 17^th from 1:00-2:30 p.m. A flyer with more information is attached and you can Register Here to reserve your spot.

Following the P+CPTED Introduction session MSU Extension, SPDC and NCI will be offering a virtual three-day full P+CPTED program training on May 17-19, 2023, and MSU Extension professionals who have been working with communities on P+CPTED will also be offering a virtual community team coaching session on May 25, 2023.  A flyer with information about these two opportunities, and the P+CPTED Introduction session is also attached.
