Greetings Colleagues:
The planning committee for the 2024 National Health Outreach and Engagement Conference is now accepting proposals to present at next year’s conference. The conference will be held May 13-15, 2024 and will be hosted by University of Georgia, Clemson University, and North Carolina State University Extension Services in Greenville, SC.
Interested individuals may submit proposals for concurrent sessions of 60 or 20 minutes in length as well as poster presentations that will be staffed at a designated time. The central theme of the conference focuses on Health Innovation through Extension and Outreach. As such, we welcome proposals that address our three conference categories of 1) Strategies for health and well-being, 2) Partnering for transdisciplinary research, and 3) Workforce development. Other topics that are welcomed include community engagement, health equity, data utilization, place-based interventions, environmental health, housing, health systems and services, food systems, social determinants of health, coalition development, well-being, and youth development as a health strategy.
Proposals will be reviewed and scored using the following criteria.
- Clarity of the proposal.
- Anchored in current research or relevant theory.
- Adequate description of the project or program.
- Produces measurable results for communities or individuals.
- Engagement of partners.
- Relevance to Extension practice.
Presentation proposals must be submitted through the submission portal located HERE no later than February 4th, 2024.
Attached is a flyer that you can use for announcing the call for proposals. Also attached is a PDF document that includes instructions for submission and list of fields one will encounter when submitting a proposal. This will helpful to individuals who wish to create the text of their proposal offline.
