Speakers

William “Bill” Cheeks is President of ABBA Associates Inc., a Powder Springs, GA-based fiscal management consultant firm that provides counseling and conducts seminars nationwide to help consumers map a successful Life Plan. Bill is a consultant to the Jump$tart Coalition for Personal Financial Literacy and, in that capacity, serves as Regional Consultant, Eastern States, assisting and advising Jump$tart state coalitions in the region.

Dr. Joyce Serido is an Assistant Research Professor at the University of Arizona's Norton School of Family and Consumer Sciences/Take Charge America Institute and is the Principal Investigator for the Arizona Pathways to Success Transition to Adulthood initiative.

Dr. Shelley MacDermid Wadsworth is a Professor and Director of the Center for Families and the Director of the Military Family Research Institute at Purdue University.

About the Extension Foundation

The Extension Foundation was formed in 2006 by Extension Directors and Administrators. Today, the Foundation partners with Cooperative Extension through liaison roles and a formal plan of work with the Extension Committee on Organization and Policy (ECOP) to increase system capacity while providing programmatic services, and helping Extension programs scale and investigate new methods and models for implementing programs. The Foundation provides professional development to Cooperative Extension professionals and offers exclusive services to its members. In 2020 and 2021, the Extension Foundation has awarded 85% of its direct funding back to the Cooperative Extension System, 100% of funds are used to support Cooperative Extension initiatives.
