Using the eXtension Campus for Extension Education

The eXtension Foundation offers employees of its member institutions the free use of its online course system, campus.extension.org, for the delivery and possibly sale of courses to their clientele. This happens through a package of two integrated sites, Campus (a Moodle 3.7+ platform) and Catalog, a store front facilitating fee-based access to courses on Campus. This service has been in place since 2007 during which some 234,000 users have accessed 1,800 course offerings. Currently the site offers 435 courses.

This Zoom meeting will provide an overview of Campus to include how Extension educators can gain access to the platform and begin to develop course content for delivery to their clientele. A second Zoom meeting on April 8, 2020 will cover some of the more active components of Moodle, to include quizzes, assignments, forums, chat rooms, lessons, and others.
