WHEN: Wednesday, December 14, 2022, at 1:00 pm EST.

WHY: Eggs are good sources of protein and other important nutrients. Each year, the average American consumes over 200 eggs per year. Whether people like their eggs baked, fried, boiled, or poached, this superfood is a vital staple in diets. Eggs can also carry the Salmonella bacteria and can cause food poisoning if they are not stored, handled, and cooked properly. It is important to educate the public on egg safety especially as the holiday season approaches and people are preparing their favorite holiday dishes using eggs.
