Safety Issues in On-Farm Biomass Production

How do on-farm production, storage and transportation of biomass crops differ from traditional agronomic cropping?

Presented by Douglas Schaufler, this webinar looks at the safety aspect of biomass production and issues that may arise from the production of crops like willow, switchgrass and miscanthus.

As a part of the NEWBio (Northeast Woody/Warm Season Biomass Consortium)  project, Doug Schaufler from Penn State’s Agricultural Safety and Health Program explains what these issues are and the need for integration of safety as the biomass industry expands.
