Preparing poultry for show

The size of poultry makes them an excellent animal project for 4-Hers living in both the rural and urban areas. Many 4-Hers raising poultry enter their birds in at least one poultry show. It is important to know how to prepare you birds to allow them to show their best qualities to the poultry judge. Dr. Theresia Lavergne will be discussing what is involved in getting birds ready for the poultry show. Dr. Lavergne is a professor with the School of Animal Sciences at Louisiana State University. She is active with 4-H and FFA programs throughout the state of Louisiana.
