About Victor Villegas:
Victor Villegas is an award-winning technologist and Broadband & Digital Technologies Adoption Coordinator at Oregon State University. He engages with communities and organizations across Oregon to help them access and use broadband and digital technologies safely and responsibly for education, telemedicine, workforce, and economic development. Mr. Villegas is committed to helping students and the next generation of Extension Professionals hone their skills and leverage technology to support the development of others. He mentors undergrad students participating in Oregon State University’s URSA program and helped establish the Association of Communications Excellence (ACE) β€œAmp Up” professional mentoring program. He has received the Diversity Multicultural Individual Award, from Epsilon Sigma Phi, and the Outreach and Engagement Vice Provost Award for Excellence, from Oregon State University.

About the Extension Foundation

The Extension Foundation was formed in 2006 by Extension Directors and Administrators. Today, the Foundation partners with Cooperative Extension through liaison roles and a formal plan of work with the Extension Committee on Organization and Policy (ECOP) to increase system capacity while providing programmatic services, and helping Extension programs scale and investigate new methods and models for implementing programs. The Foundation provides professional development to Cooperative Extension professionals and offers exclusive services to its members. In 2020 and 2021, the Extension Foundation has awarded 85% of its direct funding back to the Cooperative Extension System, 100% of funds are used to support Cooperative Extension initiatives.
