Metaverse Meetup - Group Tour of Maya Island

Any Tuesday afternoon from 3:00- 5:00 PM Eastern, drop by the Virtual State Fair in the Second Life virtual world for a gathering of educators from the land-grant system and beyond. 3:00-3:30 intros, updates and schmoozing, 3:30-4:30 program (tour, speaker or activity), 4:30-5:00 help session for new users.

Today's Program: Learn more about Mayan civilization in this expansive 3D project, developed by students of the University of Washington. Highlights include a Mayan medical village, a science and astronomy center and an explorer's cove. Winner of the Federal Virtual Worlds Challenge 2012.
