Manure Sampling Considerations in Different Animal Production Systems

Manure characteristics vary by animal species and age and time of sampling. Farm management practices, i.e., manure handling and storage also influence manure characteristics. Sampling practices need to consider all these sources of variability to ensure manure land application rates follow agronomic recommendations. The guest speakers in this webinar will each address manure sampling challenges in a different species and recommendations to reduce sampling error.

An application for continuing education credit for Certified Crop Advisors (CCAs) and members of the American Registry of Professional Animal Scientists (ARPAS) will be submitted.

Presenters for this webinar include:
  • Mark Rice, North Carolina State University
  • Karl Van Devender, University of Arkansas
  • Aaron Nygren, University of Nebraska - Lincoln
Handouts (PDF format) will be available the day of the webinar at the live webcast information page.
