Manure Innovation: Teaching Styles and Marketing Programs

Would you rather watch someone give a presentation or do something that gets you involved, maybe making decisions that you can relate back to your own farm? Active learning promotes better retention of the material. In recent years, the Nebraska Manure team has been working to make their training program for livestock farmers more interactive, and educators at Michigan State have been using some novel techniques to teach youth about equine manure management. During this webinar, we’ll discover what has worked for them so far. Additionally, we’ll discuss ways to market the program to set the stage for a great audience participation and attendance.

An application for continuing education credit for Certified Crop Advisors (CCAs) and members of the American Registry of Professional Animal Scientists (ARPAS) will be submitted.

Presenters for this webinar include:

  • Erica Rogers, Michigan State University
  • Leslie Johnson, University of Nebraska - Lincoln
  • Anne Nardi, University of Wisconsin - Madison

Handouts (PDF format) will be available the day of the webinar at the live webinar information page.
