Making a Smart Choice for Health Insurance

This webinar will introduce you to the work of a multi-state effort related to health insurance literacy.

The Health Insurance Literacy Initiative (HILI) has developed a curriculum "Smart Choice for Health Insurance". Get an introduction to the theoretical and research framework related to the curriculum, results from pilot tests, and a sample exercise using the curriculum.

-Imagine knowing how to make your health insurance decisions with confidence.

-Imagine the consumers in your counties knowing how to make their health insurance decisions with confidence.

-Picture someone teaching you and teaching the consumers in your counties.

That someone could be you teaching consumers.

About the Extension Foundation

The Extension Foundation was formed in 2006 by Extension Directors and Administrators. Today, the Foundation partners with Cooperative Extension through liaison roles and a formal plan of work with the Extension Committee on Organization and Policy (ECOP) to increase system capacity while providing programmatic services, and helping Extension programs scale and investigate new methods and models for implementing programs. The Foundation provides professional development to Cooperative Extension professionals and offers exclusive services to its members.
