High temperatures during the summer can cause heat stress in cattle, pigs, and poultry, as they cannot dissipate body heat quickly to stay cool. Heat stress can significantly affect the animalβs health and well-being, and have a negative impact on production. The impact can sometimes be severe. ARS scientists presents research and practices on heat stress mitigation in cattle, swine, and poultry to help improve the animals' health and well-being, and improve production efficiency.
