This webinar presents science-based evidence on lifestyle medicine. The webinar will demonstrate how the military is incorporating lifestyle and performance medicine into their practices and will explain how to incorporate plant-based diets as part of the lifestyle medicine concept. The material presented is applicable to military, VA, and civilian medical providers.
According to the American College of Lifestyle Medicine, (ACLM), the definition of Lifestyle Medicine is:
βLifestyle Medicine is the use of evidence-based lifestyle therapeutic approaches, such as a whole food, plant-predominant dietary lifestyle, regular physical activity, restorative sleep, stress management, avoidance of risky substances and positive social connection as a primary therapeutic modality for treatment and reversal of chronic disease.β

3) Discuss strategies to apply Lifestyle Medicine in practice
