Choosing a plant with disease resistance is one of the tools in a gardener’s Integrated Pest Management toolbox. In this session, ornamental plant breeder Dr. Ryan Contreras will outline how new cultivars are selected for disease resistance and highlight examples from his research program in the Department of Horticulture at Oregon State University.
