Home Hydroponics 101

Interested in a small-scale or DIY hydroponic system for home produce production? Join Nebraksa Extension for this 4-part course hosted by our urban agriculture program coordinator John Porter and extension specialist/associate professor of practice Stacy Adams . Session include 1) Intro to Hydroponics, 2) Understanding Systems, 3) Nutrients and Lighting, and 4) Food Safety and Troubleshooting. Sessions will be hosted live on Zoom, 6pm CDT each Tuesday in May. Course cost: $25. Pre-registration required at https://cvent.me/kMZM2o .

Sessions:

  • May 5 - Introduction to Hydroponics
  • May 12 - Understanding Systems
  • May 19 - Nutrients & Lighting Systems
  • May 26 - Food Safety and Troubleshooting

 

All sessions are 6pm - 7:30pm CDT.  Sessions will be recorded for participants who cannot participate in person.

Hello!  I just helped one of our small farmers sign up for this... very little tech ability... is there a number or a contact I can call if he calls me and is having trouble?

Sarah - you can call me at 402.444.7833 if it is before the event.  If it is close to or during the workshop, the best option would probably be to email me since I'll be watching my inbox but won't be able to take calls.  john.porter@unl.edu
