Getting started with sheep and goat management

Mike Metzger, MSU Extension

Monday, March 2, 2015, 7-9pm

Small ruminants, including sheep and goats, can be a viable livestock enterprise for beginners or established farms wanting to include a livestock enterprise.  Conventional lamb and wool markets are options, as well as specialty markets like meat goats, specialty fibers, dairy and craft cheese.  This program will introduce you to the opportunities and challenges involved with raising sheep and goats.
