Extension faculty are increasingly called to deliver programming to address grand challenges in society and environment. These encompass wicked problems, uncertainty and complexity, and therefore call on different approaches to program design and outcomes.
Meyer will briefly describe the nature of grand challenges, wicked problems, and why these necessitate a forward-looking, innovative approach to 21st Century Extension education. He will rationalize how Extension faculty can make the most of these efforts by evolving to focus on social-learning outcomes, and tapping intentionally into networks that connect communities of participants toward deeper, richer learning experiences.
Plan to join us on May 12 - 11:00 a.m. CT/10:00 a.m. MT.
