Citizen Science: Taking It Local

This webinar focuses on engaging youth in the full research process, including finding a mentor, conducting analysis, and engaging in scientific argument. We go beyond environmental programs to explore citizen science in other disciplines. Science Fair and similar youth research opportunities are not new but stereotypes can keep youth from fully benefiting from these opportunities. We showcase the processes needed to engage youth in meaningful independent research and the benefits that come from this experience.
