Building Networks to Alleviate Food Insecurity

Building Networks to Alleviate Food Insecurity
About This Webinar:
This interactive session guides participants through the process of creating a “food security resource guide” tailored to the location and populations they serve. Facilitators will lead activities designed to help family service providers immediately implement food security knowledge in their local communities.
This 90-minute workshop uses the Spectrum of Prevention framework to encourage participants to identify and view programs and services in their communities in ways that can support efforts to reduce food insecurity among military families.
Participants will have the ability to use their microphone or the chat pod to ask questions and engage with facilitators and other attendees.
Learning Objectives:
1. Enable service providers to build a response and referral plan as they work with families experiencing food insecurity or who may be at risk for being food insecure
2. Develop a localized resource guide
3. Develop action steps for engaging in a local food system
