Arthritis 101: Prevention & Control
Join Sherri M. Cirignano, MS, RDN, LDN and Chris Zellers, MPP on Wednesday September 27th at 12:30pm as they discuss Arthritis 101: Prevention & Control. There are over 100 types of arthritis, all of which affect the joints, tissues around the joint, and other connective tissues. According to the Centers for Disease Control, (CDC) an estimated 58.5 million adults in the United States have arthritis, with almost one-half of these adults limited in their usual activities because of the condition. Join us to learn more about arthritis, including how you can decrease your risk of developing arthritis, or making it worse, by considering possible lifestyle changes and management options.

About the Extension Foundation

The Extension Foundation was formed in 2006 by Extension Directors and Administrators. Today, the Foundation partners with Cooperative Extension through liaison roles and a formal plan of work with the Extension Committee on Organization and Policy (ECOP) to increase system capacity while providing programmatic services, and helping Extension programs scale and investigate new methods and models for implementing programs. The Foundation provides professional development to Cooperative Extension professionals and offers exclusive services to its members. In 2020 and 2021, the Extension Foundation has awarded 85% of its direct funding back to the Cooperative Extension System, 100% of funds are used to support Cooperative Extension initiatives.
