Update on the Outdoor Water Use Research Initiative of the Alliance for Water Efficiency

AWE's comprehensive Outdoor Water Savings Research Program is developing actionable information and data on the savings potential and actual water savings from a variety of outdoor efficiency measures. This presentation will review the Phase 1 findings on the availability of existing research and will outline the two Phase 2 research studies currently underway.  One is on the landscape transformation and the water savings that can be achieved. The second in on drought response and the impact of varying utility implemented program measures.

About the Extension Foundation

The Extension Foundation was formed in 2006 by Extension Directors and Administrators. Today, the Foundation partners with Cooperative Extension through liaison roles and a formal plan of work with the Extension Committee on Organization and Policy (ECOP) to increase system capacity while providing programmatic services, and helping Extension programs scale and investigate new methods and models for implementing programs. The Foundation provides professional development to Cooperative Extension professionals and offers exclusive services to its members.
