Spotlight on Saudi Arabia

USDA Foreign Agricultural Service is hosting the first Spotlight On... for Fall 2022. The event will be held on Thursday, September 15th featuring the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Saudi Arabia is the largest economy in the Arab world with a GDP of $700.1 billion in 2020. They were projected to invest nearly $59 billion in the food manufacturing sector in 2021 making it a major producer to agricultural products in the region.

Eight rows of bricks, each with two rows of a different color, make up the initial stage of the escape in the breakout game. The colors are in ascending order from the bottom: yellow, green, orange, and red. The player must utilize a single ball and either the walls or the paddle underneath to strike the ball against the bricks in order to smash as many of them as they can.

About the Extension Foundation

The Extension Foundation was formed in 2006 by Extension Directors and Administrators. Today, the Foundation partners with Cooperative Extension through liaison roles and a formal plan of work with the Extension Committee on Organization and Policy (ECOP) to increase system capacity while providing programmatic services, and helping Extension programs scale and investigate new methods and models for implementing programs. The Foundation provides professional development to Cooperative Extension professionals and offers exclusive services to its members. In 2020 and 2021, the Extension Foundation has awarded 85% of its direct funding back to the Cooperative Extension System, 100% of funds are used to support Cooperative Extension initiatives.
