Climate Action Plan

The fight against climate change requires broad mobilization, and Cooperative Extension stands poised to make a difference. How can we mobilize the U.S. Cooperative Extension system to quickly and effectively contribute to climate change solutions? This subgroup dives into how we can harness the strength of our network to swiftly and effectively implement solutions.

VIDEO: The Power of Small Steps: A Simple Strategy for Climate Progress

In this week’s climate action video, we'll explore a simple but powerful concept: When it comes to climate work, small progress beats no progress—every time.

Drawing on personal stories from my work in climate change and my role as a dad of four, I explain how overwhelm can stall even our best intentions—from moving big climate programs forward to ordering six fast food meals without forgetting the fries.

This video is for you if:

  • You’ve ever felt paralyzed by a big project.
  • You’re juggling too many priorities.
  • You’re unsure where to go next with your climate work.

CALL TO ACTION: Pick one climate-related project you’re working on. Then ask yourself: What’s one small step I can take today? Email your answer to me at nate@silvermaplestrategies.com. I’d love to help keep you accountable and support your next step!
