There are three cooking-related contests at the National 4-H Poultry and Egg Conference - The chicken and turkey barbecue contests and the egg preparation demonstration contest. The barbecue contests involve skills in starting a fire, barbecuing, preparation of a product, and a presentation that demonstrates knowledge of the subject industry (chicken or turkey), food safety and product attributes. In the egg preparation contest participants must prepare an egg dish, demonstrate presentation skills and incorporate knowledge of the egg industry, egg quality and nutrition. The webinar will discuss these events and how to help your 4-Hers excel.
