Conflict and the Culture of Avoidance in the Workplace

We define conflict as more than a mere disagreement— it is a situation in which the people involved perceive a threat to their needs, interests or concerns. The culture of avoidance…conflict is so unpleasant we ignore it, separate the people, and change our course. Conflicts are normal in the work environment. Our conflict styles brings with it consequences.
