Penn State’s Clearinghouse for Military Family Readiness and the Department of Defense’s (DoD) Office of Military Community and Family Policy have joined forces to develop the THRIVE initiative. The THRIVE initiative is being designed to empower parents as they raise and nurture their children from the prenatal period to age 18. This podcast will highlight the goals of the initiative, its structure and development, and innovative approaches that distinguish THRIVE from existing parenting programs.

CEU Information
We anticipate being able to give 1.0 CEU for this podcast through the University of Texas School of Social Work. These educational hours may be submitted by professionals to meet continuing education requirements for renewal of Social Work, Professional Counselor, and Family Therapist licenses. The University of Texas at Austin School of Social Work is an approved CE provider in all but the following 11 states: Colorado, Florida, Hawaii, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Michigan, New York, North Dakota, and Oklahoma.

Jennifer DiNallo, Ph.D. is the Director of Research at Penn State's Clearinghouse for Military Family Readiness. Jennifer has been a member of the Clearinghouse team since 2010, and since then has been integral in the development of the THRIVE initiative.Jennifer's research interests include the effects of health promotion on obesity, specifically focused on parent-based interventions.
