Thanks to all who joined the “Native Plantings for Pollinators and Beneficial Insects” networking call. Below and attached are a few highlights:

  • People’s Garden Networking Call:
  • People’s Garden (PG) subgroup updates:
    • Native Habitat for Pollinators and Beneficial Insects Survey: we encourage you to complete this survey to help us learn more about your experience establishing native habitat for pollinators and beneficial insects.
    • Discussion Board: Stephen Thomas Hatez in Georgia asked if People's Gardens have experience getting involved with nearby State & National Parks. The People’s Garden team is interested in learning about this as well! You can respond to this inquiry on the Discussion Board.
  • USDA Social Media Highlight Opportunity: Share your planting story and be highlighted on USDA social media (Facebook, Instagram, X). Email SM.FP.Social@usda.gov with:
    • Subject: People's Garden Plant 2024
    • Include in the email your name, the name of your garden, your location (city/county and state), a photo or video with description of what is happening and image/video credit, and we may include your photos on our social media channels.
  • Future People’s Garden Networking Call Topics: stay tuned for Zoom invites.
