USDA Foreign Agricultural Service: Spotlight on Taiwan

Online webinar

USDA Foreign Agricultural Service: Spotlight on Taiwan

This is the next event in the Foreign Agricultural Service's Spotlight webinar series:  Spotlight on Taiwan – “A Day in the Life”.  Did you know that Taiwan is the eight-largest market for U.S. agricultural exports, and the United States is Taiwan’s top five supplier and export market for agricultural goods?

This event will start off with a market brief by Emily Scott, Director, ATO-American Institute in Taiwan (AIT), entitled “Welcome to Taiwan; the Undiscovered Culinary and Economic Gem of Asia” followed by two exciting interviews:  Chef Cale Jackson, Culinary Director, Smith & Wollensky, Sea to Sky restaurants; and Peter Huang, CEO and Founder, Taihu Brewing.

The event will be hosted on Microsoft Teams – click on the link provided in this invitation to attend.  The event will run one and half hours, with half an hour for question and answer.

During the event, please mute your microphones, and hold questions until the presentations are concluded.  Questions will be recognized using the 'raise hands' function in Microsoft Teams.  You will also be able to ask questions in the chat function, if you prefer. In either case, when asking a question, please identify yourself and the organization you are affiliated with.  This event will NOT be recorded.

If you have any questions or concerns, please contact Brian Guse, Global Engagement Executive at brian.guse@usda.gov or at  FASCustomerEngagement@usda.gov.
