Globalizing Extension Innovation Network

This open group creates a network of professionals interested in globalizing Extension innovation. It shares and develops best practices for augmenting extension programs through cross-cultural and international experiences. The network supports the engagement of extension professionals through educational programs emphasizing understanding of global dynamics and using cultural knowledge.

Gaining International Experience:  USAID's Farmer-to-Farmer Program Panel

The Farmer-to-Farmer program provides short-term opportunities for Epsilon Sigma Phi members to contribute their expertise internationally.  This panel will provide more information on the program, its funding, opportunities, and how to apply.  The panel includes a USAID Program Officer, two implementing organizations with opportunities, a university-based program and an educator who participated in the program.

About the Extension Foundation

The Extension Foundation was formed in 2006 by Extension Directors and Administrators. Today, the Foundation partners with Cooperative Extension through liaison roles and a formal plan of work with the Extension Committee on Organization and Policy (ECOP) to increase system capacity while providing programmatic services, and helping Extension programs scale and investigate new methods and models for implementing programs. The Foundation provides professional development to Cooperative Extension professionals and offers exclusive services to its members. In 2020 and 2021, the Extension Foundation has awarded 85% of its direct funding back to the Cooperative Extension System, 100% of funds are used to support Cooperative Extension initiatives.
